YogaGlo>website
On the front page of their website, YogaGlo ('everyone's yoga') states, "Yoga is a process of self-discovery. Enjoy the journey!"
This friendly yoga studio, which is located in Santa Monica, California, is also an online yoga studio. You can sign-up as a member for only $18 a month (yes, you heard that right), and you also get a 14 day free trial. This amazingly affordable and convenient site has well-qualified (and supposedly well-known) yoga instructors, as well as a variety of classes with various durations. Their many styles include Hatha Yoga (and specific ones for during women's menstruation), Ashtanga, Anusara, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Kundalini, Pre/post-natal, Restorative and Mediation. You could choose a class that lasts anywhere from 5 mins all the way up to 120 mins. They also have several levels to choose from.
I took my first class today and was very impressed by the instruction and convenience of having a private teacher just for me right in my own living room! The perfect part of it is that I can take an unlimited amount of classes and can stop or pause the video if necessary.
The website is very professional and well-organized. It will keep track of the classes you have taken so that you can see your progress or look back on your history. In addition, you can even list classes in a favorites folder. There is a page devoted to introducing all the instructors, as well as guest appearances. There are free lectures, a page consisting of all the poses and instructions on how to do the poses properly.
All I can say is that I'm VERY impressed! Being able to practice at home at my convenience for a low cost of $18 /month, instead of the $100/month member fee that many yoga studios here in Hong Kong have just makes me smile and appreciate the simpleness. Yoga was once taught for free to spread the awareness of wellness. It's so nice that we can keep this idea into consideration as we allow professional assistance with yoga to be spread for a very reasonable cost abroad.
It's also a bonus that I can have an instructors from the US to be teaching me while living overseas or even while traveling.
Thank you YogaGlo! I hope to share a meaningful journey with you this year (and many more) as I continue my practice as a yoga teacher trainer. :)
