Hi everyone! I have wonderful news! I just signed my life away for the semester, literally, and I am thrilled! After wanting to for so long, I have finally brought myself to sign-up for a 200 hour yoga teacher training course. I found the company randomly online. Actually, I wasn't even searching and still have not figured out how the website showed up on my screen as I was planning my teaching lessons at school one day. I took it as a sign and am very pleased with my decision.
After calling the company, Anahata Yoga, to find out more details on the course, they invited me in for a complimentary yoga class to meet one of the YTT (yoga teacher training) master yoga instructors. It was a delightful atmosphere with all professional and experienced teachers, mostly from India who have won numerous awards and championships. The classes there were obviously very popular since the class was all full and people book ahead of time on the website. I had a nice chat with the yoga instructor afterward and had a great feeling about getting my training done there. So I immediately signed up that day, since there were only 2 more open spots out of 20 for the YTT course.
I feel blessed with this opportunity and am looking forward to gaining more knowledge and experience in yoga.
The 200 hour course I will be taking consists of 5 modules, covering anatomy, physiology, the history, philosophy and traditions of yoga, the benefits and teaching techniques of the asanas, the different types of Pranayama, Mudra and Bandha, and finally the teaching techniques and posture adjustments as a yoga instructor.
In case you are interested in either taking one of the many training courses or workshops available at this company, or if you'd like to join the membership to take yoga or dance classes, here are the links below for more information. (There is also a location in India but luckily some of the teachers there have relocated at the moment here in Hong Kong:)
