Are you familiar with the 8 components of wellness? They are the areas, all of equal importance, that you should balance to find peace and happiness in your life. They all relate and connect to one another. It's important that you take notice on how much time you are giving each area so that you can determine if you have balance or not.
Two years ago, I read an article on balancing your life. The article advised you to make a balance wheel. The balance wheel shows you important categories in your life and how much time you give to those areas. Once you visually see what areas are not equally balanced, you can start making changes to improve those areas in your life.
Tip: Reflection is the first step to finding balance in your life.

This is a great way to start our balance page. Let's try to make a balance wheel together! Ready, set, go!
First, make your wheel. Put the categories (8 elements of wellness) in your wheel according to how much time you focus on that category. If you'd like, you can even put an estimated percentage for each category so that you can see the exact percent you are giving to that area. After you have finished, look at the lowest percentages. You will then visually see what you need to focus on in order to find complete balance among the different sections on your wheel. Spend time to color and decorate your wheel. Then, post it up somewhere in your home, where you will see it everyday.
Take a picture of your wheel and keep it for your reference. Post it if you'd like to share and inspire others.
