Working out and staying physically fit is usually 90% fighting a mental battle. You really have to find the motivation and perseverance to work out. How can you fight this battle, you ask?
All you really need to do is tell yourself (and truly believe) that it is one of your #1 priorities for the day. If you do this, your mind is telling you that this activity is absolutely necessary. The next challenge is not finding, but making the time for it.
You'll have to play around and find what time works best for you. However, usually those that stay consistent with the time of the day that they workout/are active, will be more likely to stick with their fitness schedule.
There are 24 hours in a day. The average adult sleeps about 6-8 hours a night, which means you have an additional 16-18 hours in a day. Certainly, you do not work all of those hours. Therefore, find 1 hour within that time span to workout or do something active, whether that is ice-skating, yoga, playing sports, going on a bike ride, hitting the gym, dancing, swimming, etc. It's JUST 1 hr! Or if you don't even have that much time to give toward your physical wellness, then do Bodyrock workouts and choose 15-45 minute workouts, depending on how much time you have or want to spend (but then you have to PUSH the intensity of your workout!). Also, sneak fitness into your everyday activities. Walk or bike to work instead of taking a bus, or do squats in the kitchen while you're waiting for the water to boil. Do yoga for 15 minutes in the morning when you wake up and at night before you go to sleep. Do some push-ups and abs for 15 minutes before you go to work or right when you get home.
You make the choice! Make yourself proud.
