How often do you expect your husbands to change and grow when you begin your long, healthy marriage? If you are like many women, you have very high expectations of your hubbies at times and judge them quite quickly, giving them the 'holy' guidance they need to improve.
I admit to doing this at times as well. It's important to remember that we are all human. No one is perfect and although we think we are looking out for our husbands, we are not perfect ourselves. God loves us for who we are, and, likewise, we should love our spouses the same as well.
If there are things that they truly need to improve on, we must help them in a loving and nurturing way and lower our expectations. We must use God's spirit to praise and encourage our loving husbands, rather than tear them down. God made them the way they are for a reason and we must accept this, appreciate their unique personality!
